Bloodrayne is back

Rayne the vampire hunter will see her long-awaited return to consoles sooner rather than later. Majesco’s announced BloodRayne: Betrayal, a new adventure staring Rayne, set to release across PlayStation Network and Xbox LIVE Arcade this summer.
The game’s in development at WayForward, the group responsible for 2009′s well-received Wii remake of A Boy and his Blob.
A “stylish” 2D side-scroller, Betrayal sees Rayne recruiting with the vampire hunting Brimstone Society for one final mission, teaming up with a “mysterious new friend” to stop an “evil vampire massacre”. It’ll introduce new characters, “gruesome” environmental puzzles, and a “full arsenal” of weapons including Rayne’s signature arm blades.
“It’s been a long time since Rayne captivated players with her bold mix of brutality and beauty, and fans have been hounding us to release anotherBloodRayne installment,” said Jesse Sutton, CEO, Majesco Entertainment.
“We are excited to once again partner with the creative and committed team at WayForward to bring Rayne back. BloodRayne: Betrayal delivers the action-packed experience franchise fans have been waiting for in a digital format that’s also accessible for new players unfamiliar with Rayne’s over-the-top, stylized gameplay.”

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 to be revealed next month ?

Call of Duty fans should get their anticipation fixation during the middle of April, if a rumor in the “Whispers” section of UK’s PSM3 is to be believed. According to the magazine, “the next in Activision’s megaton FPS series will be announced in mid-April”.
It adds: “Based on the ending of MW2, we’d be surprised if the story doesn’t pick up with Soap and Price on the run, after they were set up by General Shepard.”
Earlier rumors have suggested Infinity Ward the developer on the tile, with the California-based Sledgehammer Games and Wisconsin-based Raven Software aiding in its creation.

God of War 4 Coming ?

God of War 3 wasn’t the end of the line, if the resume of a former Motion Logic Studios employee is to be believed. Apparently, the cinematics studio is currently working on “Game Cinematic for God of War 4 Cinematic Test,” where employee Chanik Hwang was “Responsible for Character Animation in Maya”.

The information comes by way of Hwang’s LinkedIn profile. Apparently, he worked on the game from May 2010 through August 2010. Considering God of War 3 launched in March 2010, there’s no logical explanation supporting this as a typo.

Further aiding the ‘no-typo’ theory is Hwang’s general resume, found by way of his personal website. Under ‘Motion Logic Studios’, we see the listing: “God of War 4 – Game Cinematic Test”.

Venturing further to the Motion Logic’s official site shows that — as of May 1, 2010 — the company is in “current production on in-game animations for an unannounced AAA game title”.
